Rescue Story

Yuri was found with 1,600 other dogs, being kept by an animal hoarder in South Korea. Our partner, Beagle Rescue Network, saved him along with all the other dogs (and had the animal hoarder shutdown).

About Him/Her

Yuri lived in an outdoor shelter for a long time after being rescued. There were too many dogs, and she had to wait for her turn.  When finally she was chosen to find a home for her, she was sent to boarding school first where trainers teach basic how to trust humans. Now she is living in a foster home in Korea and she quickly opened up with a big smile.

Yuri is a sweetheart and a happy dog who loves people and other dogs. She is such a gentle dog who enjoys petting. She is also very smart and learned quickly ‘Sit’ commands. If you teach her anything, she will learn quickly. Her walking manner is great without pulling but a little bit clumsy because she was living in a shelter for at least 4 years which means she never went for a walk before.

She is potty trained, doesn't bark and she is not a huge fan of long walks. She can stay by herself for a couple of hours and she doesn’t destroy anything inside the house. She greets any guests who visit the house to say Hi and Goodbye when they leave. She is quiet in the house too, staying in her bed. She will be great in the Condo or any house.

These days at the foster home must be the happiest days for her. She gets ice as a treat, she gets delicious treats, she goes for a walk and she gets lots of pets from her humans. We want to continue to have a great life. She will be coming to Canada this year and the adapter has to pick her up from the airport. (Dogs think that the person who picked them up from the airport saved their life and usually build a strong bond with them.)
